The Best of 2019
We were inspired by our friends at Rocha & Co. Photography to write about the Best of 2019 here at Rock Paper Sisters. What a year it has been! We have a highlight on our Instagram page that shows a year in review from 2018, and when we went back to look through that in preparation for this post, it somewhat seemed like 2019 was a step back for our business, and maybe in a lot of ways it was. In 2018 we opened a brick and mortar studio where we hosted workshops and in-person client consultations for design. We traveled for some business retreats and speaking engagements, we launched an apparel and gift line and so much more; and 2019 looked a lot different.
In 2019 we pulled back the curtain on a LOT of the things that we were taking on, doing and providing for our audience and in some ways, we found it to be a little bit confusing. If you asked at the end of 2018, “What does Rock Paper Sisters do or provide?” the answer would have been a little bit complicated. There were workshops, apparel, small business branding, lifestyle blogging and promotion and then the heart of it all was invitation and stationery design - but it was often a bit lost in the shuffle. So when we embarked on 2019, we made it look a little different - in some was intentionally and in some ways it just happened organically.
So, for 2019, we started focusing on stationery-only (with some additional designing on the side from time-to-time for small businesses, but mostly stationery); and as we prepare to catapult into 2020, that’s what we hope to focus on for the new year, too. So, here is a little peak at the best of 2020 - some things you might have seen and some things you haven’t!
And as always, we can’t thank you enough for continuing to support this little dream. We have big goals for 2020 - not necessarily big PLANS, but goals to help make the things we are already doing even better, and we hope that you will support those goals right alongside us like you always have. So, cheers to the new year, to all of you, and to the future of Rock Paper Sisters!
